The Valleytones

General FAQs

Have you got insurance?

Like any professional band, the band have £5,000,000 public liability insurance to cover any claim and eventuality.

How many of you are there in the band?

There’s four members in the band and they have an amazing road manager who makes sure everything is sorted for each performance.

Our venue are insisting that all our suppliers’ equipment is PAT tested. Is that a problem?

It’s no problem at all. All the band’s gear is PAT tested annually and anything that doesn’t meet the grade is replaced straight away.

What kind of music do you play?

The Valleytones play a ‘bit of all sorts’ as they know that’s the best way to get (and keep) people on the dance floor. Primarily though, the band are all about pop, rock & roll, indie, rock and ceilidh tunes. The best thing to do is take a look at the set list page and make sure you like the kind of music they play and that they’re a great fit for your event.

Can we choose the songs that you play?

We don’t let anyone choose out set lists for us but if there’s a couple of songs in our repertoire that you’re particularly fond of, we’ll do what we can to get them in there for you.

Do you learn requests?

We don’t learn requests with the exception of first dances at weddings which we’re willing to do if the song is suitable for our setup and vocal ranges. We charge for this so drop us an email with you song choice and we’ll let you know if it’s possible and what the cost would be.

Are we able to choose what music is played when you’re not on stage?

Of course! That’s no problems at all. We normally look after this and put a classic party playlist together, mixed properly of course with no gaps between….to keep everyone partying. But…..more and more people are now putting their own Spotify playlist together so we can just stick that on for you. No worries at all either way!!

What power do you need?

The band need 6x13amp plug sockets ideally, although they can manage with 4. They’ll draw a maximum of 3.5kW of power.

Do we need to supply any equipment?

The band is completely self contained and will bring everything that they need in order to deliver a great show in a venue of up to 300 capacity and with a standard sized function stage. If your venue is bigger than this, please let us know in advance as you’ll need to hire additional equipment in. The band have recommended partners that they can put you in contact with for this.

How do you accept payment?

There are three payment methods available to people looking to book the band. Direct Debit (for payment plans), Bank Transfer or Debit/Credit Card. Your balance can be paid in three different timescales. The most popular is 50/50 where half of the balance is paid at the time of booking and the second half paid 28 days before the performance. Secondly, you can spread the balance of the booking into monthly payments payable between the date of booking and 28 days before the event. Finally, the most popular is the 4-stage payment plan where you simply split the balance into 4 payments spaced equally between booking and the month prior to the performance. The band are currently offering a £50 first payment to secure the date when customers book with a monthly payment plan.

Do we have to feed and provide drinks for you?

There’s no contractual obligation to feed and water the band but this is always appreciated if you’re able to.

Do you have a Facebook page?

The band has a brand new (September 2022) Facebook page that they’ll be looking to update with photos and snippets of what they’ve been up to. Make sure you check it out, give them a like and say hello if you’ve got them booked for your date!
